ABOUT US

Stemming from a maternal lineage steeped in the art of leather dating back to 1880’s Millau, France (one great grandmother a corset-maker, another a seamstress and milliner), from the age of 8, Claire Châtaigner knew that her life would be dedicated to creating. The awards she received for her accomplishments in sculpture, writing, and costumes confirmed her vocation as early as her childhood. She pursues her studies in Law and Art at the École du Louvre and drafts a dissertation on "The Relation of Women in Ancient Egyptian Political Power." She continues with a doctorate in Medical Law with her thesis on: "the Political and Legal Definition of the Body." Simultaneously, she embarks on her professional path: second seamstress in the atelier, model, stage manager and showroom manager. She forms a network that remains loyal to her to this day. She presents her first runway collection, “A Midsummer Night's Dream," at Drouot Montaigne under the high patronage of Madam Carven, in November 2006. In 2008, she wins the Fashion Battle Prize, organized by FashionTV. In 2013, she opens her showroom at 332, rue Saint Honoré, Paris 1er.
